In Gen. 27 & 28 it tells the story of Isaac, Jacob, and Esau. In this story in these chapters, Isaac was old and about to pass away and decided to bless Esau before he did. Overhearing the instruction from Isaac to Esau, Jacob’s mother Rebekah convinced Jacob to perform the request of Isaac that he’d asked of Esau. Jacob did these deceitful things in order to obtain the blessing that was meant for Esau.
After everything that transpired in Chapter 27, why did God still bless Jacob in Chapter 28 given that he lied to his father at his mother’s request; and not bless Esau instead?
